Babylone questions the rise of revolt and hatred in a society marked by deep social divides. Through tragic events like the deaths of Naël and George Floyd, the film highlights systemic injustice. Set in an urban environment influenced by hip-hop culture, the story is told through robots symbolizing authority and injustice, representing dehumanized figures of power. Against a backdrop of chaos, where humanity has lost control of its own creations, the film addresses violence, solidarity, and diversity while placing humanity at the heart of the struggle. It also touches on social misery that transcends the boundaries of poor neighborhoods and extends to (almost) all classes. Through a unique visual style, it invites us to celebrate our differences and see diversity as a richness for a better future.
