After humanity vanishes overnight, winter turns the world into white silence. Kenji, a reclusive Japanese scientist who once devised a serum to extend feline life, finds his cupboard empty and only his cat by his side. In three haiku like movements, the film observes small rituals, static on a TV, a red serum, footsteps in snow, toward a final image that lingers.
