In a neon-soaked alien world plunged into chaos, two disastrous bounty hunters survive through poorly executed jobs and mandatory pit stops at fast-food drive-ins.
ZAX, also known as “Iceface”: calm, serious, and lethal when he loses his patience.
KREE: impulsive, chaotic, and capable of turning every mission into a ridiculous spectacle.
Together, they are the most unhinged and incompetent version of what an action duo should be, starring in absurd shootouts, unnecessarily spectacular escapes, and endless arguments.
“THE DUDES” is an animated action satire loaded with dark humor, dismantling buddy-movie clichés while mocking the epic tone of action films. Its visual style draws inspiration from shows like Futurama and Rick and Morty, with the irreverent narrative flair of directors like Danny Leiner and Quentin Tarantino. Here, every violent scene becomes an uncomfortable joke, and every mundane moment explodes into surreal absurdity.
“Action, chaos, and extra-large combos!”
This short is a tribute to one of my favorite comedy scenes from the 2000s, reimagined in my own way.
