Urszula Nawrot is a filmmaker, visual artist, and researcher whose work bridges cinema, photography, and depth psychology. Her films and visual projects explore the inner world, trauma, and the process of individuation. Her award-winning debut UMBRA is widely recognized in psychological and therapeutic contexts and has become a foundation for her continued artistic and research practice. She is the author of numerous documentary and narrative films and a member of the Polish Phenomenological Association, the Polish Filmmakers Association, and ZASP. Active as a photographer and editor, she also conducts therapeutic photography sessions and develops long-term research on the phenomenology of trauma. She is currently working on the feature film Deep Within and a multi-year individuation project. She has recently expanded her creative practice into generative art using AI. Her recent film was selected for the Jury Short List at the Pixel Riot Hackathon.
