After the success of the 2024 edition, with 267 films from 35 countries, the Artefact AI Film festival is back with the ambition of making Paris a worldwide reference on matters like the future of cinema.
Organized by Artefact (one of Europe’s largest AI consulting companies) MK2 (the legendary arthouse studio) and with partners like Google, ARTE (and SHAIKE 😉 the festival is not just about awards, it’s about connecting your film to the people shaping cinema, AI, and culture.

Real Outcomes — Not Just Laurels
Last year’s Grand Prize winner, Raphaël Frydman, didn’t just “win.”
He signed a feature-film production deal a few months later. He has been developing his film inside Artefact, with mk2 providing creative support, and he is now working directly with Jean-Pierre Jeunet (yes — Amélie).
Winner of Best Use of AI, Junie Lau, recently worked with Google to create one of the official Veo 3 launch films. Both Raphaël and Junie are now on this year’s jury. This festival backs the artists it believes in — and expands the ecosystem every year.
A Jury That Treats AI Films as Cinema
The jury blends renowned filmmakers with new creative voices. Some are from AI. Some are from traditional cinema. Their shared language is curiosity and storytelling.
Because here, AI Film is not a genre.
It’s cinema, just with new tools.
