Wonderland Syndrome

Wonderland Syndrome tells the story of Alice Chen, a lonely high school senior, who downloads the AI companion app Wander for a school project and slowly lets herself depend on the persona she names Hatter. As her private grief goes public and an attention economy that rewards the edit over the person reshapes how she sees herself, her own voice begins to blur with the machine’s. The rabbit hole is much deeper than we thought.
