Echeide, an ancient indigenous warrior from Tenerife, lives in seclusion in the mountains with his family until the arrival of a battalion of Castilian soldiers destroys his home. Devastated by the loss, he seeks counsel from the Harimaguada, who reveals to him the legend of Guayota, the demon of Teide, still alive beneath the volcano. In his despair, Echeide descends into the depths and makes a pact with the demon, transforming into a being half human, half Tibicena. With his newfound strength, he unleashes a brutal vengeance, only to realize he is losing his humanity. When Guayota demands that he destroy his own people, Echeide must choose between following the demon or confronting him to save his own.
