INTERVIEW Akihiro MIYAGI
You’re one of the most prolific AI creators on Shaike. How do you do it?
I treat AI as a creative partner not just a tool. My background as a video producer taught me how to structure visuals, emotions, and rhythm. That discipline, combined with a deep curiosity for visual innovation, allows me to produce consistently. I don’t wait for inspiration I create systems that generate it.
What’s your workflow when you create a music video?
It starts with the beat. Music dictates everything tempo, lighting, even motion curves. I begin by breaking down the song into scenes and emotions. Then I design a visual script: camera angles, transitions, key colors, character motion, and lighting direction. Finally, I instruct the AI with detailed prompts like a film director briefing a VFX team. It’s part choreography, part coding, all storytelling.
How would you define your artistic world?
It’s a fusion of poetry and pixels where technology expresses emotion, and visuals feel like dreams you’ve never had before. My world blends Japanese cinematic tradition with futuristic surrealism. You’ll find neon deserts, silent gods, vaporized memories, and moments of stillness inside chaos.
Tell us about the AI scene in Japan.
Japan’s creators are quietly pushing boundaries. We blend our deep respect for craft and storytelling with a minimalist aesthetic and poetic rhythm. While much of the global scene focuses on scale, Japan’s AI artists often pursue subtlety and emotion. There’s a rising wave here and it’s deeply human at its core.What do you think is the future of AI filmmaking?
AI filmmaking will democratize imagination. Anyone with a vision will be able to direct entire worlds. But the future won’t be about replacing humans it will be about collaboration. The best AI films will be emotional, not just impressive. The director of the future will be part poet, part programmer.
You’ve been a Shaike member from the start. What’s your view on the platform?
Shaike feels like a creative laboratory a place where imagination comes before algorithms. It gave me the freedom to experiment without fear, and the community to grow through collaboration. From the beginning, it’s felt more like a movement than a platform. Shaike isn’t just where I publish it’s where I evolve.
