Victor John (VJ) Mendoza is an emerging AI filmmaker and creative storyteller based in Hamburg, Germany. With a professional background spanning more than two decades in media, marketing, and strategy, he began exploring AI filmmaking as a new creative outlet and quickly became fascinated by its potential to bring cinematic ideas to life.Working independently, VJ combines generative AI tools with traditional storytelling, editing, sound, and visual direction to create short films that explore science fiction, adventure, and imaginative worlds. His filmmaking process is driven by experimentation and continuous learning, with a particular interest in cinematic world-building, character consistency, and using AI as a tool for storytelling rather than as the story itself.VJ continues to develop his craft with a simple long-term ambition: to tell increasingly better stories and see how far AI can expand what an independent creator is capable of putting on screen.
