nyotalumo

nyotalumo is a Kenyan-born, Germany-based Afro-surrealist visual storyteller and AI filmmaker. Her surrealism grows from lived experiences between cultures, where the ordinary in one world may seem extraordinary in another. Through satire, emotion, music and cinematic imagination, she transforms these shifting perspectives into stories that invite everyone in.Her name carries a universe of contrasting voices, from Nyota to Lumo, where light and darkness offer different ways of seeing, yet both have something to share. Her work moves between poetic reflections, reimagined fairytales and playful absurdity, questioning familiar narratives without losing the joy of entertainment. For nyotalumo, AI is a creative medium, not the author of imagination. Her philosophy, “A Light to Share,” is an invitation to look beyond differences and discover what connects us.
