Leopoldo Joe Nakata is a film editor based in São Paulo with 20 years of experience. He serves as Vice-President of the São Paulo Film Editors Association (AMC) and also teaches film editing. Nakata has edited over 20 features and series for major studios and platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime , including "The Girl Who Killed Her Parents" and the ABC Award-winning "West Once More". His documentary work includes the IDFA-awarded "Piripkura". Beyond editing, he is a screenwriter known for the VR doc "Step to the Line" (Sundance/Tribeca) and has worked on major multimedia museum exhibits. Currently, he specializes in AI audiovisual production , collecting awards and nominations in various AI festivals.
