Kudama – The Black Kunoichi

Set in feudal Japan, the music video tells a brief and poetic story performed and narrated by Kudama, an AI avatar who is both singer and protagonist.
Kudama is a young kunoichi of low rank: an orphan raised as a servant in the imperial court. Too humble to be considered a lady, too silent to be recognized as a warrior, she lives on the margins. Yet, training in secret, she has developed extraordinary skills.
At court, she is entrusted with protecting the young princess Aiko, destined to become the future empress. A deep and wordless bond forms between them. The tutor Tomoko, however, tolerates Kudama only out of necessity, seeing her as a black servant: useful, but meant to stay in the shadows.
When attackers strike during a journey through the forest, Kudama intervenes with sudden, lethal force, saving both the princess and the tutor. In that moment, Tomoko finally understands who this silent girl truly is.
But the order of the world does not change. Kudama walks away, asking for nothing in return.
Only the memory remains: an invisible warrior, loyal to the end, who bloomed and vanished like a flower in the silence.
