HOME is a 6-minute short film inspired by the first European incursions into the Americas during the era of Christopher Columbus. Through the story of Ikal, a Maya warrior, it explores the moment a land ceases to be lived in harmony and becomes something to be claimed, named, and dominated.
It’s not a history lesson. It’s a meditation on memory, power, and belonging. On colonization past and present. On displacement, cultural erasure, and the idea that no land is ever truly empty.
