“Chimu” is a poetic short film about fear, connection, and the quiet courage of a cat who learns that not every shadow hides a threat. Created by Molo entirely with artificial intelligence, the film blends emotional storytelling with generative tools in image, sound, and voice. It was officially selected at the Kling NextGen Creative Contest, and has been screened at MIPCOM Cannes, the Busan International Film Festival, and the Tokyo International Film Festival.
From Mexico, Chimu has also appeared in various national media, including open television and radio, as an example of how AI can be used to express emotion and sensitivity rather than replace them. Through its gentle narrative and technical experimentation, Chimu invites viewers to see fear not as danger, but as a form of understanding—reminding us that even in silence, connection is possible.
