CONCEPT:
I’m a child of the 1970s. But not a teenager/young adult of. Yet, I’ve always imagined myself being one from that time… However, living through that rebellious and trippy party atmosphere along with its music nonetheless seeped into my blood eventually… This is my imaginary expression of that era and “maybe” where I would have fitted if a bit older / My hommage to all of what early hard rock brought to my being.
CONTEXT:
While super talented sound designer Gilles Maillet (www.spineechopulse.com) was working on my recent AI short film, I really needed to stay creative, and long story short, I started to work on a new video… Having been exploring AI music in 2024 (yeah, even if I compose and produce some!), there was a track I prompted for which I added on some older lyrics of mine (written in Jan 2023), and it winded up sounding surprisingly pretty cool to my ears..! I got to listen to it again a few months ago, decided to add new parts / rearranged the track, and finally thought I should do a video with it. But with the following approach: I would generate images and vids inspired by my lyrics and then set them to a singer-performance I filmed myself doing, and then use Act Two from Runway to emulate a retro style and the look of an imaginary “colorful” singer of that era for good humorous measures! And this is the rockin’ result!
