The AI Movie Awards (AIMA) has officially confirmed the dates and location for its 2026 edition.

The festival will take place April 24–25, 2026, at the Meliá Beach Calvià in Mallorca, Spain, bringing together filmmakers, producers and AI creators exploring the future of cinema.

Created to examine the relationship between artificial intelligence and storytelling, AIMA positions AI not as a replacement for filmmakers, but as a new creative language.

As founder Federico Luglio explains:

“Artificial intelligence does not replace human creativity. It expands it.”

The event aims to create a serious platform where filmmakers, technologists and industry leaders can explore how AI is reshaping audiovisual culture.

A Festival Built Around AI Storytelling

The 2026 edition will feature:

• Screenings of selected AI-driven short films

• Industry panels and discussions

• Workshops and networking events

• A live awards ceremony

Supported by the Calvià municipality, the festival hopes to position Mallorca as a meeting point for creators working at the intersection of cinema and technology.

Beyond competition, AIMA also encourages discussion around authorship, ethics, aesthetics and the evolving language of AI filmmaking.

International Jury

The 2026 jury brings together voices from both traditional cinema and the emerging AI filmmaking scene.

Confirmed members include:
