(History has taught us about the empires of Europe, but the world has tried to forget the greatness of our history. Before colonization, East Africa trembled under the mighty Gaza Empire. Its last great emperor was Ngungunhana — known as the Lion of Gaza.
He led one of the largest and fiercest resistances against Portuguese colonial forces in the late 19th century. A story of power, war, betrayal, and the fall of an empire that changed Mozambique forever.
This is a Proof of Concept trailer created by director DJ Marcell. Our goal is to prove that the history of Mozambique and Africa deserves the big screen on the level of the biggest Hollywood blockbusters.
