During an ordinary breakfast, a young couple discovers the existence of infinite parallel realities — and in every single one, they are still stuck together.
Synopsis
What begins as a casual morning conversation between a young couple quickly spirals into an existential revelation: across infinite parallel lives — medieval kingdoms, futuristic dystopias, noir crime worlds, colonial expeditions, and beyond — they always find each other.
And in every single one of them… she’s unhappy.
Told through sharply composed vignettes that parody cinematic genres and historical epics, the film juxtaposes grand, hyper-stylized alternate realities with the painfully mundane intimacy of a kitchen breakup. Each universe echoes the same relationship dynamic, transforming cosmic inevitability into something awkwardly domestic.
As the multiverse expands, the emotional space between them contracts. What should feel epic becomes quietly tragic — and absurdly funny.
The final note lands not with spectacle, but with a small, unanswered “Honey?” drifting through an empty kitchen.
Director’s Statement
This film explores the tension between destiny and choice through the most intimate battleground: a couple at breakfast. By staging multiple realities in exaggerated cinematic styles — from juglar medieval fantasy to sci-fi futurism, noir jazz melancholy, and historical epic — the film contrasts the scale of the universe with the smallness of human miscommunication.
The humor is dry, restrained, and painfully human. The performances are naturalistic, almost understated, allowing the absurd premise to unfold without exaggeration. The comedy emerges from contrast: infinite realities, same emotional problem.
Visually, the project blends hyperreal cinematic textures with documentary-like intimacy, creating a playful yet emotionally grounded tone. At its core, this is a film about the terrifying possibility that even across infinite lives, we may never get it right.
