Ben Chimoy

Ben Chimoy is a Berlin based filmmaker and creative technologist. He studied at Filmuniversity Babelsberg and brings over 20 years of experience in traditional filmmaking into AI supported cinema and hybrid documentary work. In 2018 he received a scholarship from the Wim Wenders Stiftung for a VR project, expanding his practice into immersive storytelling and spatial media. He directs short films and advertising work, combining cinematic craft with emerging production workflows. Chimoy founded AI Filmmakers Berlin, a community platform for screenings, talks, and exchange around new moving image culture. He also teaches and runs workshops on generative filmmaking.
