Ronces is a wordless dark fantasy short carried entirely by image, atmosphere, and music.
The film follows a Queen who longs for a single rose. She sends her most devoted knight to retrieve it, unaware that the cathedral guarding the flower is already a tomb. Within its shadows stands the Lich, protector of the rose. She may appear monstrous, but she is not purely evil. She defends what is hers. When the knight comes to take it, she answers with violence. He falls, and for a fleeting moment she savors the humiliation she believes she has inflicted upon the Queen.
But the tragedy is unnecessary. The Lich holds the power to make roses bloom again. A simple request could have spared a life.
Through three visually consistent characters and a continuous two-minute sequence, Ronces explores pride, misunderstanding, and the poetry hidden within brutality. It is not just a demonstration of AI’s technical potential, but proof that coherent identities, emotional arcs, and cinematic continuity can now exist within AI-driven storytelling.
