AMANAT

Three years ago, Georgy’s world collapsed when his wife Eva allegedly died in a plane crash, followed by the abduction of their young son, Misha. Reduced to a hollow shell, Georgy’s despair shatters when a chance encounter reveals the truth: Eva is alive. She and Sergei—the private detective Georgy himself hired to find the boy—staged the tragedy to hide together, systematically draining Georgy’s savings while raising Misha as their own.
Blinded by rage but sharpened by grief, Georgy tracks them to their home. There, he learns the devastating truth: Misha is not his biological son. Faced with an existential void, Georgy’s sorrow crystallizes into cold resolve. He engineers a brutal, meticulously staged double murder, framing it as a crime of passion between Eva and Sergei. With the police closing the case, Georgy takes Misha and drives away. He has reclaimed his son, but at the cost of his own humanity.
Amanat is a psychological thriller about the weight of duty, the illusion of blood ties, and the terrifying price of choosing love over truth. The title refers to a sacred trust in Turkic cultures—something priceless entrusted to your care. In the film, this trust is shattered, then rebuilt through a tragic, irreversible act.
