The Story of Story is an experimental short film that traces the evolution of human storytelling through the voice of Story itself. Speaking as an ancient, ever-present force, Story guides the audience across thousands of years, from cave drawings and oral traditions to film and the digital age, through a rhythmic, poetic monologue inspired by early oral storytelling.
Reflecting this journey across time, the film is constructed through a hybrid production process that merges traditional and emerging techniques. Each frame begins as an original hand-drawn image, developed into high-fidelity 3D concepts and brought to life through performance-driven motion capture using AI tools, alongside stop-motion elements. This layered approach creates a process that uses the progression of storytelling tools as its methodology, mirroring the evolving forms through which humanity has told its stories.
